COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In 2018 the British Columbia Supreme Court Judge gave a ruling that the people of Tent City had 21 days to vacate the premises owned by the municipality of Nanaimo or the City was authorized to remove all personal belongings in the encampment without recourse. 

​

Approximately 300 homeless people were devastated and now forced to leave the area.  As a Mental Health Professional, I assisted in the transition and supported individuals in the heart of "Discontent City".
